Objectives of treatment
This treatment is used to reduce the Body Mass Index (BMI) in obese patients (BMI 30+) or in overweight patients (BMI of 27-30) with one or more weight-related co-morbidities.
Who is this treatment available to?
Patients between 18 and 65 years of age.
Patients with an initial BMI of 30 and over.
Patients in which a supervised diet, behaviour modification and increasing physical activity failed to achieve a realistic reduction in weight.
Patients with a BMI 28 or greater with associated risk factors, including but not limited to: Hypertension; Dyslipidaemia; Obstructive sleep apnoea; Type 2 diabetes mellitus
This treatment is only available ages between 18 and 65 years.
Furthermore, Any cancellation or rescheduling within 48 hours before the appointment will incur a charge of 20% of the total service cost and missed appointments will be deemed non-refundable.
