Urea is produced in the liver by the breakdown of protein, kidneys discard urea and waste product through urine. If your liver is not healthy it may not break down protein correctly, if your kidneys are not healthy they may not filter the urea correctly. Changes in the amount of urea in your urine may indicate an issue in these areas.
