Sinusitis

Sinusitis is a common condition which is caused by an infection that leads to inflammation of the sinuses. it usually clears up on its own in a couple of days, but medicine can be used if this process is slowed.

Symptoms of sinusitis include:

·         Pain swelling and tenderness around your cheeks, eyes, and forehead

·         A sinus headache

·         A blocked nose

·         A high temperature

·         Toothache

·         Bad breath

·         Reduced sense of smell

Treatment 

How to treat Sinusitis:

·         Nasal decongestants (these should not be used for more than a week at a time)

·         Paracetamol and Ibuprofen

·         Warm packs to the face

·         Cleaning nose with salt water to ease congestion.

This appointment does not guarantee you will be prescribed medication, this is dependent on the pharmacists opinion as to the whether it is suitable.
