Microneedling

From £89

What is it?

Microneedling is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that uses tiny needles to create punctures in the top layer of your skin. This triggers your body's natural healing response, stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. These proteins help keep your skin firm and smooth, reducing the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, scars, and other skin imperfections. It enhances the absorption of topical treatments like hyaluronic acid, PRP, and exosomes for greater effectiveness.

Microneedling is typically performed on the face, but it can also be used on other areas of the body such as the neck, décolleté, and back. It is a popular treatment for those looking to improve the overall texture and tone of their skin.

Procedure

  1. Numbing Cream: Numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and left for about 20 minutes to reduce discomfort.

  2. Cleanse and Sterilize: The skin is double cleansed to remove impurities, followed by sterilizing the area to ensure it’s clean and safe for treatment.

  3. Prepare Equipment: The microneedling device and needle head are sterilized, and the needle depth and speed are adjusted based on the skin type and treatment area.

  4. Apply Glide or Serum: A glide or booster serum is applied to the skin to aid smooth movement of the device.

  5. Perform Microneedling: the microneedling procedure is carried out, creating small punctures in the skin, which the body recognizes as injuries and triggers an inflammatory response. in response to the injury, blood vessels expand, increasing blood flow to bring essential nutrients, oxygen, and immune cells to the area. white blood cells, such as neutrophils and macrophages, are sent to the area to clean up damaged cells and release growth factors that stimulate collagen and elastin production.

  6. Aftercare Instructions: The patient receives instructions to ensure proper healing and optimal results, including sun protection and avoiding harsh products.
