Nasolabial Folds (Smile Lines)

From £159

Description

Nasolabial folds are the lines that run from the sides of the nose to the corners of the mouth. They become more prominent with age due to a loss of skin elasticity and volume. These folds are often treated with dermal fillers to restore volume and smooth out the lines.

What is Dermal Fillers?

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments that restore volume and smooth wrinkles. Made from substances like hyaluronic acid, they are commonly used to reduce signs of aging, such as lost volume in the face, and to enhance features like the lips and cheeks.

How can Dermal Fillers help?

For Nasolabial Folds, dermal fillers are used to smooth and soften the lines that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth. By injecting hyaluronic acid into these areas, the treatment restores lost volume, reducing the appearance of deep folds and wrinkles. Dermal fillers provide a non-surgical option to create a more youthful, refreshed look by filling in the lines and enhancing facial smoothness. During your consultation, our clinicians will assess your concerns and determine if dermal fillers are the right choice for addressing nasolabial folds.

Timeline and Expected results

Your results will begin to develop within a few days and can last up to 18 months, with most patients enjoying the effects for at least 12 months. The exact duration varies based on the treatment area, the type of filler used, and individual factors..

Product administered

During your consultation, you'll receive expert guidance on the most suitable lip filler for your specific needs and desired results. One of the following products will be administered:

  • JUVÉDERM® Volift

  • JUVÉDERM® Voluma

The products may be administered with a Cannula using the linear threading technique. This technique involves using a specialized blunt-tip cannula to inject dermal fillers in a controlled, linear pattern. The cannula allows for more even distribution of the filler and can help smooth and soften the appearance of nasolabial folds with fewer injection points. The method minimizes discomfort and offers a more precise, controlled approach. During your consultation, our clinicians will assess whether the cannula linear threading technique is the best option for achieving your desired results.
